Self Chain's Testnet 2 Success: Paving the Way to Mainnet.

Self Chain Incentivized Testnet 2: A Report on Triumph and Collaboration

We are excited to share the remarkable achievements of the Self Chain Incentivized Testnet 2. This initiative was a vital phase in our journey towards the mainnet release, building on the success of our previous testnet. Here, we present a structured report to sync our community with the testnet's impressive stats and outcomes.

Overview of the Incentivized Testnet 2

The Incentivized Testnet 2 was launched with specific goals: to evaluate the network's security, scalability, and speed, and to engage our community in a meaningful way through active participation.

The timeline was as follows:

  • Registration: Feb. 27th
  • Launch: Feb. 29th
  • Conclusion: March 29th (extended due to a comprehensive code audit)

Key Achievements

  • Validator Engagement:
Beginning with 50 active validators from our previous testnet, we were thrilled to receive 366 applications for validator roles, achieving our target of 100/100 active validators.
  • Network Performance:
The testnet achieved a remarkable block height of 3,074,934, with 60M SLF tokens bonded. Validator uptimes were exemplary, averaging ~99.7%.
  • Community Participation:
A significant aspect of this testnet was community engagement. We saw 19,426 users successfully stake their tokens through Superboard, a testament to the vibrant and supportive community that surrounds Self Chain.
