Building on the triumphs of our previous testnet, where we achieved synchronization of 153 nodes and onboarded 100 active validators, we are now poised to embark on the last leg of our test phase.

We’re opening the doors for 200 validators and 500 staking participants. With 50 validators already actively running since our previous testnet, we're excited to see this number grow. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, involves a commitment to running a validator or participating in staking.

Set Up and Maintain Validator Nodes: Establish your node and ensure its active participation in the network’s consensus process.

The Validator’s Journey:

Set up a node.
Node synced.
Join Self Chain Discord and get verified in verify channel
Go to the Discord validator-role-request channel.
Share your node ID and node IP with the validator-role-request channel (Prove you have synced the node) to get the validator role.
Request faucet tokens from the testnet-faucet channel.
An example of the request message:

Create a validator with tokens from faucets.
Apply for the Validator Registration Form in testnet-validator-registration channel.
Fill out the Validator Registration Form, which includes the transaction hash of validator creation, personal information….etc
Keep the validator up until the end of the program.

Notes:

Faucet requests will be processed following the commencement of the Self Chain Incentivized Testnet 2.
Existing validators are simply required to maintain their nodes operational to qualify.
